Roastery

Roasting coffee has been said to be a curious blend of science, art and magic. At the Coffee Culture Roastery on Durham St, Mikey Palmer, our Head Roaster spends the best part of each morning firing up our state-of-the-art roaster and roasting green beans to perfection. The Coffee Culture original blend developed in 1995 has remained unchanged since then and combines beans from Colombia, New Guinea and Kenya. Using only the finest Arabica beans which are grown at altitudes over 3,000 feet Mikey ensures that every roast comes out with the distinct Coffee Culture flavour.

The Roastery is a perfect place to watch the process in action and Mikey loves showing off the capabilities of the machine.

The Roastery is in the same building as the Coffee Culture Training Academy and it won't be long til were underway with our 'Coffee Lovers' night where you can experience the whole process right from selection of beans through to espressing freshly roasted coffee and then enjoying it prepared your favourite way.
